CALIFORNIA FELONIES
Under California law, you can expunge your felony conviction, as long as you have successfully completed the terms of your probation. If you were instead sent to state prison, meaning that upon release, you were on parole rather than probation, you cannot expunge or reduce your felony conviction. In such cases, you may be eligible to obtain a Certificate of Rehabilitation.
If your conviction was for a reducible felony or commonly known as a "wobbler" then we may be able to reduce your felony to a misdemeanor before having it expunged. The list of wobblers is too long to list, but some common crimes include, crimminal burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, spousal battery and most fraud charges. Once your felony is reduced, you will no longer be considered an “ex-felon” and you will be relieved of the restriction imposed on ex-felons such as certain denial or loss of state licenses, possession of firearms, jury duty, etc.
If your felony was a “wobbler”, our fee includes filing of the motion to reduce the felony to misdemeanor. Our service also includes the preparing and filing of the petition, payment of all court fees and appearance at the hearing. In most cases you do not have to be present, we appear on your behalf. Expunging your record can be this easy.
